BE → DO → HAVE
Most people begin with what they want to HAVE. They want peace, purpose, flourishing relationships, and fruitfulness. They then ask what they must DO to obtain those things.
I AM goes further upstream. Identity precedes activity. Activity precedes outcome. Your identity shapes what you do. What you consistently do shapes what you have, build, and steward.
The Four Dimensions: Rooted at the Core
Within the I AM formation framework, human experience is understood across four layers:
- 1. Spiritual (Identity): The governing level. Who God says you are.
- 2. Mental: Thoughts, beliefs and mindsets.
- 3. Emotional: Feelings and emotional states.
- 4. Carnal: Outward habits and physical actions.
Identity Grounded in Scripture
“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule...’” — Genesis 1:26
I AM does not ask you to invent an identity you wish were true. It invites you to discover, understand and live from the identity God reveals in Scripture.
